PEOPLE CONVERSATIONS REAL CHANGE
About Us
We create spaces for meaningful dialogue and experiential learning that help people, communities and organisations grow
OUR PURPOSE
A belief in the power of people
At Ithaca, we believe in the power of people - in our curiosity, our capacity for understanding, and our ability to create positive change when we truly listen to one another.
We design and facilitate experiential learning experiences that bring people together, open up meaningful conversations and build the skills, confidence and understanding needed to navigate a complex world.

OUR STORY
A journey shaped
by people and possibilities
Ithaca was founded on the belief that meaningful conversations can lead to a more inclusive, empathetic and connected world.
Our journey began with a simple idea - that when people come together with curiosity, openness and respect, different perspectives can be understood, relationships, can be strengthened and real, positive change can happen.
Drawing on experience in education, community engagement and cross-cultural dialogue, we have worked with individuals, organisations and communities across Singapore and the region to create learning experiences that are relevant, practical and transformative.

Debra Scully
FACILITATOR
Educator, counselor, interfaith and diversity & inclusion facilitator.
Debra has been in Education for over 35 years, first as a teacher and subsequently as a counsellor in a secondary school. Her initial stint in the pre-University Centre led to working in secondary schools and a passion in Pastoral Care and Career Guidance (PCCG), now called Citizenship and Character Education (CCE). This has built and shaped her expertise in working with youth. In her mid-career stint at MOE HQ as a Guidance Officer, she also developed her adult training skills. Having had a taste of the valuable work outside the classroom, she trained as a counsellor and worked in schools providing counselling and other programmes till her retirement. A brief foray into private education honed these skills further as a trainer and adjunct lecturer. In addition to a Master in Guidance and Counselling, She has undertaken courses in various areas of counselling including Counselling Psychology, Education and Career Guidance, Life-skills, Grief and Loss and Emergency Behaviour Management. Family needs have also motivated her to pursue courses in Dyslexia Intervention and Understanding Dementia. Her more recent pursuits have been in The Essentials of Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement and The Long-Term Effects of Childhood Trauma. Married with 2 adult children, she continues to pursue her other interests in interfaith work, facilitating difficult conversations, travelling, painting and writing while still contributing to working with youth and society like supporting those befriending the elderly in training, workshops and facilitating conversations. Her wish is to continue to continue to be able to give, grow, experience awe and wonder, remain connected and nurture relationships at a pace that she can savour with gratitude.
